Tap and Go arrives at Ryde Gladesville

From next week, 'Tap and Go' Donation Point systems will be available at St Charles Borromeo and Our Lady Queen of Peace churches, to allow parishioners and visitors to donate to the regular church collection by card.

Aware that many people don't carry cash on them, we will providing these devices to allow our community to continue to donate to towards the upkeep of our Parish and ministries, with less hassle.

The systems will be placed at the main doors of the SCB church, and the side exit of the OLQP church from next weekend. Parishioners and visitors will be able to make a donation by card when entering or exiting the church. The automatic donation will be set at $10 for each 'tap', however parishioners can make greater contributions by tapping again.

Collection plates will still be passed around at all Masses as usual for cash donations. Donations can also be made via our direct debit facility, which allows parishioners to make regular, automated contributions to the church via debit or credit card.

We are one of the several parishes within the Sydney Archdiocese to embrace this new technology. The Donation Point systems are now being used in churches such as St Mary's Cathedral in the city, numerous churches in Melbourne, and is now becoming the norm within parishes as we adapt to our modern Catholic communities.

Thank you for continued financial support of our Ryde Gladesville Parish, and we thank you for your patience and flexibility as we adopt this new method of giving.
