Alpha Week 4 - How can I have faith?

It was pasta night at Alpha this week, and it was great to see everyone enjoying the series and building new friendships.

Alpha is all about asking questions, and exploring life and faith. This week we looked at how the book of Revelation tells us that Jesus 'stands at the door (of our life) and knocks', waiting for us to respond. We have the freedom to open the door, or not. If we do open up, we can experience an amazing friendship with Jesus, which is what faith is all about.
After the video, we broke for coffee, and then gathered in small groups for some really great conversation.

Question of the week: What difference does being a Christian really make in my life? (Great question - how would you answer?)

Please continue to pray for all involved with the current Alpha series. Join our community of Ryde-Gladesville Parish in praying this prayer now:

Loving God,You call us to share our faith and invite others into friendship with you.We pray for every guest who takes part in Alpha, that they will come to know Jesus, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Let the Alpha series bring us closer together in our parish family, and renew our relationships with you and with each other in our journey of life and faith.Send your Holy Spirit on our Parish so that we can better witness the love of God to all in our community. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
