What have the Youth been up to?

The Youth at Ryde-Gladesville have been busy! We had a fun filled week last week, all focusing on the theme of St Therese of Lisieux and her life and teachings.

At our High school youth group 'Sparc', we prayed the rosary together, offering roses as little sacrifices and intentions to St Therese!

At our 'Ignite' kids Youth group, we ran a small leaders retreat and then taught the kids about St Therese, her life and how, like her, we can have Incredible faith. We offer our blessings, prayers and congratulations as well to our Ignite leaders who were later blessed at the Our Lady Queen of Peace family mass.

At our 'Set Alight' session, the young adults gathered for our monthly neighbourhood theology, with special guest Sister Mary Immanuel from the Sisters of the Immaculata, who taught us on the theology of St Therese of Lisieux; we can all be Holy through doing little things with great love.

What's next?

Set Alight (ages 18-40):

Our Set Alight group will continue for now...Next Sunday March 29th 7:00pm-9:00pm, we will gather for a special catechesis on the topic of suffering. In light of these difficult times it's a great topic to explore, especially in relation to our continued theme on the life and teachings of St Therese. Join us for a great topic + a warm autumn meal for $5 & ice cream for dessert!

Sparc (all highschool):

All our high school youth events are going ahead for now, and we are taking all precautions in light of the virus...join us next Friday March 27th 6:30pm-9:00pm for an evening of Mercy. The night will include music, prayer, activities, fellowship, vegetarian Lebanese pizza & more! Don’t miss it!

Ignite (yrs 4-6):

In light of the Corona Virus and the season of Lent and Easter, Ignite will not return until May. Please stay tuned for more updates …
