From Fr Greg's Desk: Sunday 18th September 2022

Hi everyone!
Lovely to see how green the lawns are and how beautiful the flower beds are turning out this spring! My thanks go out to everyone who helps us to keep our grounds and buildings in such good shape! I have a few important things to communicate to you this week. Firstly, that our:

Saturday Morning Mass at SCB to be Brought Forward to 8 am from 1st October.
After much deliberation with the other priests of the Parish, and in consultation with the Parish Pastoral Council, we have collectively decided to bring the regular 9 am Saturday morning Mass at SCB Ryde forward to 8 am.
This change will come into effect from Saturday 1st October onwards. We have many pastoral activities on Saturday mornings that need to begin at 9 am, but would clash with the regular Saturday morning Masses, at which many of us (your priests included) desire to participate.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this might cause those who regularly attend this Mass and would prefer it at 9 am. Please let your friends know of this change of Mass time.

Please note, however, that the Sacrament of Reconciliation will still be offered after this Mass as usual.

'Juniors Ministry' Update- Altar Servers Formation
Calling all would be Altar Servers! Your clamour for another formation session has been heard. Be there next Tuesday 20th September at 3.30 pm at St. Charles for the next formation session.

This Junior's Ministry is available to all who have done their First Holy Communion, and it is an awesome thing for them to get involved in the Masses in such a personal way.

Please ring the office for more information. There is a TryBooking Code on Page Three of this Bulletin to sign on for this training.

'Seniors Ministry' Update - Info Night with CatholicCare Wednesday 28th September at
6 - 7.30 pm.

As mentioned previously, CatholicCare Sydney representatives will be joining us to discuss how they can help the Parish to create a Senior's Ministry.

CatholicCare has developed a range of talks, courses, classes and training to support seniors as they age, including the areas of health and wellbeing, computer and internet use workshops, talks, companion training to assist the elderly, 'Ageing Well' masterclasses, 'Living Well Dying Well' workshops and bereavement support.

This information night is for everyone wanting to help in this vital area of life, and not just the seniors. So, see you there and then!

And that's about it for now. God bless!

Fr. Greg
