FROM FR GREG'S DESK: SUNDAY 22ND JUNE, 2025

Hi everyone!

'Walk with Christ this Sunday (bus leaves at 12.30 pm from SCB Car Park)

Welcome to 'Corpus Christi' Sunday, a day dedicated to examining this marvellous mystery of Christ's real presence in his Eucharistic Body and Blood. I am very impressed by the response to the invitation to come with us on the bus to the Walk With Christ procession through the heart of the CBD this Sunday 22nd June. So far we have about 90 booked in for the two buses, which means there are still some seats available. We will be leaving at 12.30 pm from the Parish Car Park so please be on time! If you have any friends that want to go with you on the day, bring them along and we will see if there are any free seats.

Kids Liturgy Notice

Just a clarification of the kids we invite out to Kids Liturgy... Br. Antonio has been looking after older kids, but we think it better to restrict our Kids Liturgy to our younger set of kids, up to and including Year 3 at school. Year 4 and over, since they will most likely have received their First Holy Communion, are thus eligible for Altar Serving training. So, seeing that Br. Antonio will be away for the next four weekends, we are going to make the change now.

Absences at the Parish

I leave for my month of retreat on Monday, along with Fr. Dan and Br. Antonio. I will also be away on leave for a few weeks more after that. During this time, we will be unable to respond to any emails or phone calls. That leaves you all in the very capable hands of Fr. Daniele and Fr Steve for all your 'priestly needs' in the meantime. Please also note that, due to our very reduced presence, they may not be able to cover as much as we did while all four priests were available. If you have any concerns, please contact my EA Judy on ea@rgcp.org.au or the Parish Office on office@rgcp.org.au. I thank you for your patience and understanding in advance! We will certainly have you all in our prayers while on retreat overseas.

And that's about all there is for now. God bless you all, see you in early August,

Fr. Greg
