Buddy System - Information in Italian

Do you know someone in our Parish or beyond who is elderly, isolated or vulnerable, and could benefit from our Buddy System? Here is some information on the program in Italian, for those who may speak limited English.

You can print out this flyer for anyone who might be interested in receiving this service. We will also make the Italian flyers available in the foyer of our Parish Office, for any members of our community who may be visiting the premises.

What is the RGCP Buddy System?

As recommended by the Archbishop in his letter, we are establishing Buddy System at Ryde Gladesville to assist the vulnerable, sick, frail, elderly, disabled and isolated members within our community during this pandemic.

Ensuring we still comply with NSW Health regulations, hygiene practices and safety recommendations, we wish to establish a team of volunteers to provide these people with assistance in buying groceries & medicines and providing cooked meals delivered to their doorsteps, daily friendly phone calls, in-person company, or assisting with other needs.

How do I sign up to be a Buddy?

If you wish to be part of our Buddy volunteer team, please contact the Parish Office with your name, contact details and what you would be comfortable assisting with.

How do I sign up/refer someone else to receive these services?

If you yourself would like to receive these services, or know anyone in our community who could benefit from them, please also contact the Parish Office.

Thank you to all those who have already signed up or referred someone to be part of our Buddy program. We are compiling list of as many people as possible, and will be partnering buddies up shortly.

As St Thérèse of Lisieux once said,

“Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.”

Thank you to our incredible Liturgy Coordinator, Sandra Mollica for creating and translating this flyer for our Parish community.
