Decorate to Commemorate - Anzac Day

This year Anzac Day will be very different, as all services and celebrations have been cancelled. However, there are other ways to celebrate and show our respect to those who fought for our freedoms.

We invite all our parishioners to tune in for our Anzac Day Mass, and participate in the Decorate to Commemorate Initiative this Saturday 25th April.

Anzac Day Mass
Join Fr Greg this Anzac Day, Saturday 25th April at 9am for a live-streamed Mass on our YouTube channel.

You can also watch the Mass later at your convenience: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV6YkpzEwSQEK8JKw84nldw

Decorate to Commemorate #stand4them
We invite all our parishioners to participate in the 'Decorate to Commemorate' Initiative, and decorate your front door, letterbox, fence or front yard with a symbol of commemoration to the ANZACs this week.

Please see the flyer and video for ideas on how to decorate your house, and more information. If you look closely, you might even spot OLQP Family Educator Anne Bortolussi and her family!

This document with ideas and links for crafts and decorations may also be helpful for our families. You can view and download the document here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1tbQhd0Bfvv4wbAmASs25Ke-YtcVAhuYS

Light a Candle
At 6am on Saturday 25th April, Light up the Dawn, hold a candle at the end of your driveway or on your verandah, or in your window and observe a minute's silence to show respect as a nation.

Australians everywhere will be participating in this initiative, and we invite you and your family to join in too.

Lest We Forget
