From Fr Greg's Desk: 10th January

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's celebration, albeit with drastically reduced numbers. I managed to get away for a few days this last week, on a short visit to Temora (Deacon Dan and Steve's hometown) and on to Lake Cargelligo, to see some friends I hadn't seen in just over 35 years, so it was nice to get away and do a bit of country driving to boot. In any case, Fr. Daniele served marvellously in both my- and Fr. Alfredo's - absence, and I am indebted to him for manning the 'home front' in the meantime. Fr. Daniele will be away all this week, and Fr. Alfredo will be back serving you in his place.

Youth Ministry Leadership changes. At the end of this month we will be farewelling our current Youth Ministry Coordinator, Jemille West, who has been leading our Parish's youth groups heart and soul for the past two years. We are incredibly grateful to her for all the hard work and joyful disposition with which she led our youth ministry at the Parish, and know that she will be sorely missed. We congratulate Jemille and we wish her every blessing and success in her new role as Team Leader at the Catholic Chaplaincy of UTS.

Deacon Steve will be carrying on from Jemille as Youth Ministry Coordinator for our Parish. He has already spent the last year working side by side with Jemille in our Youth Team. We are currently advertising for part-time youth minister(s) to assist him with this work, and we have included the advertisement which is currently running in Catholic Jobs Online and in this bulletin. Please pass it on to anyone you might know of who might be interested in applying to be part of our growing youth ministry team.

Other than that, I hope your January holidays are going nicely and continue to stay that way!

Your brother in Christ's service,

Fr. Greg
