From Fr Greg's Desk: Sunday 31st January

Hi everybody!

Welcome back to school/college! Well, our kids are back to school this week, (even though there were a few tears for some of our new 'kindies'). A big welcome to all of you, especially to our new parents. Kids liturgy also begins this weekend at SCB Church at the 10 am Mass.

No change to COVID restrictions regarding SCB and OLQP Churches. We were hoping that there may have been a lifting of the COVID restrictions this week, but alas, there is little change as far as our Churches are concerned. Please be aware that we are, unfortunately, still limited to 100 people inside SCB Church and 80 people inside OLQP Church (including choir loft and foyer). Masks are still compulsory inside places of worship, with the exception of those that are speaking, reading or leading the singing.

The other thing of note is that we intend to have some short 'refresher courses' for our ministries in coming months, the first of which will be:

Readers Formation Session - Saturday 20th February 2021. We will be having a 'Readers Formation Session’ on Saturday 20th February from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm at OLQP Church. Deacon Dan Drum and Sandra Mollica will be leading the formation, and we ask all readers to come along. Morning tea and sign up will be held from 10 am onwards in the adjacent OLQP Hall. I look forward to seeing you then.

Catechist Sunday will be held next week 6th and 7th February. A short talk will be given at all masses by a catechist with sign-up and relevant information available then.

And that's about it for this week!
