Youth Minister Positions Available
Ryde-Gladesville Parish is now recruiting for two positions to assist with Youth Ministry in our Parish. Please read through the job description below to see if this position would suit or anyone you know.
Youth Ministers (2 positions)
The primary purpose of this position is to connect with the youth of the Parish, develop structured groups that involve youth in Parish activities, and to implement strategies that address the ongoing needs of the youth in the Parish.
A key aim of the Youth Ministers is to work constructively with the youth groups that operate within the Parish, outreach to Parish-linked primary and secondary schools, and providing a role model for youth in the Parish.
The Youth Ministers will be required to work in close consultation with the Parish Priest, Youth Ministry Coordinator and the youth to set up structured groups that caters for the broad spectrum of youth ages.
We are looking for Youth Ministers that will have relevant experience in a similar role such as Youth Work or Parish Ministry.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
- Experience in facilitating, networking & coordinating people
- Demonstrated commitment to youth.
- Commitment to the Catholic faith through personal witness and practices
- Commitment to prayer life
- Capacity to work in teams with sound communication skills
- Current Driver’s Licence and own transport
- One position will be for 20 hours per week and the other position for 10 hours per week. You must be prepared to work on weekends, especially the 6pm Sunday Youth Mass.
