Vale Ron Hill

Sadly, long-time parishioner of OLQP, Ron Hill, passed away last weekend after a long illness. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his wife Mary, their children Marguerite, Bernadette, Germain and Celine, his Grandchildren Alyce, Ryan (deceased), Brendan & Matthew and his Great Grandchildren Grace & Charli. 

Ron spent his life dedicated to OLQP – he was baptised, went to school, and married at OLQP. Ron was a warden at the Vigil Masses for many years, and became an Acolyte from the time they were first allowed. After Ron retired as an Acolyte he remained a warden until just prior to his illness in late 2019. 

Ron was a Banker in his professional life and was on the Finance Committees of both OLQP Parish and later Ryde-Gladesville Parish as well as various committees over the years including the Building Committee. 

Mass of Christian Burial for Mr Ronald Hill will be offered in Holy Name of Mary Church, Villa Maria, Mary Street, Hunters Hill on Monday January 18, 2021 at 10.30am. 

The funeral will leave the church at the conclusion of the Mass for Macquarie Park Cemetery, corner of Delhi and Plassey Roads, North Ryde.
