A Message from our Clergy on the Coast

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well and safe during this time of lockdown. As many of you know we took some time off from late June to have a month of silent retreat/spiritual exercises down the South Coast in Sanctuary Point.

It was a lovely experience of spending lots of time in prayer with Jesus, God the Father and the Holy Spirit, being spiritually "refuelled" for our ministry as priests and missionaries! When we finished we heard the news that Sydney is currently in lockdown and after some discussion with Fr Greg and Fr Steve, we thought that it would be better to remain where we are rather than going back to the parish which is in lockdown.

Here in Sanctuary Point over the past 2 weeks we have been doing quite a bit of online ministry: Fr Daniele has been working with the chaplaincy in Macquarie University, Fr Alfredo has given some talks for the Marian Consecration group and Fr Dan has been giving some small groups preparation for various sacraments. We have also been sharing guidelines for prayer in the mornings, preaching in the different online Schools of the Word and last weekend we helped give an online retreat with 50 participants.

We have also been in touch with the local parish of St Michael's, Nowra, and the next two weekends we will be celebrating masses in some of the churches nearby. So we are staying in practice for when we get back to Ryde-Gladesville... We have also had the chance to see some of the beautiful nature around here in Boodaree National Park. You are all in our prayers and thoughts and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Blessings to all of you and your families,
Fr Daniele, Fr Alfredo and Fr Dan
