School of the Word - Tonight at 7:30

Are you missing the Parish life? Why not give School of the Word a go?

Every Tuesday night at 7:30pm, we get together online via Zoom and it’s a great time for community and reconnecting with others from the Parish and beyond.


If you’ve never been to SOW before, you might be wondering- what exactly does it involve?

At the moment our topic is Praying with the Psalms. After the initial greeting, we begin with a presentation. It is a chance to listen to one of our leaders (tonight it’s Fr Dan!), who give a meditation on a selected Psalm (Psalm 8: Glory of God and dignity of humans).

We then each have a time to pray- we all switch off our cameras and spend some time talking to God. Then we get back together and split into breakout rooms and have some small sharing groups. Some of these have been fantastic and we love hearing from each person’s unique perspective.

We’ve been getting new people every week, we’d love to have more join us. Feel free to share as little or as much as you want, and even invite a friend to join you!
