From Fr Greg's Desk Sunday 27th March
Farewell, Hannah Rizzo, from the Parish Office
This week we will be farewelling Hannah, who has been working part time in our Parish Office over the last three years, and was instrumental in keeping our Parish webpage up and running, our bulletins printed, and our Easters and Christmas's organised. We will certainly miss her!
Senior's Week 'Mass & Morning Tea' Next Wed 30th March
Huge reminder to all about our 'Seniors Week Morning Tea' after the 9.20 am Mass at SCB on Wed 30th March, 2022, as part of "Senior's Week". Our own "Noah's Ark Cafe' will be providing the Coffee and tea, thanks once again to the generous patronage of CatholicCare, and our kids from SCB Primary will be making an appearance to with them well and entertain them! We warmly invite all our Seniors to take advantage of this lovely service to 'Celebrate your Seniority" and meet other 'Seniors' in and around our Parish. If you could let the parish office know if you are coming, that would help for catering purposes, but don't let that stop anyone from coming along!!
News from Fr. Alfredo.
As many of you know, our own intrepid Fr. Alfredo is now in Moscow, serving with our Fraternity there. For now , we have heard that all is 'reasonably quiet on the Eastern front', as the demonstrations have ceased and people are carrying on with life as if nothing much is happening (!!). Some of the sanctions have apparently begun to bite, affecting the availability of certain goods. He sends you all his warmest greetings from a very cold Russia, and thanks you all for keeping him in your prayers.
Fr. Greg will be away next weekend on Cadet Camp with the Holy Cross College Cadet Unit
On a personal note, I will be away on Cadet Camp with a large contingent of Holy Cross College cadets from Wed 30 to Mon 4th April.
In the meantime the other priests will cover all your needs. Hopefully it won't be too wet up at Singleton, so please pray for some good weather that week!!!
And that's about it for now! Your brother, in Christ's service,
Fr. Greg
