Amazing Response for our 'Build a Vinnies Van' Project!!
I have to say that I am utterly impressed with you all!! At the time of writing this column, we had amassed over $110,000 towards the 'Build a Vinnies Van' project, and are now on our way to our 'dream goal' of being able to purchase a second 'Vinnies van' for the region!! Thank you so much to everyone who is contributing either by cash or by prayer, as the Holy Spirit seems to be working overtime. Please keep in mind that all these donations are fully tax deductible, as we are channeling them to Vinnies to purchase, equip and house the vans.
Planned Giving Envelopes for 2022/23 and Tax Receipts for 2021/22
The new Planned Giving envelope boxes are available at the doors of both Churches from this weekend onwards. We have tried to place them at the Church where we think you might be attending, but we apologise if your envelopes are down at the other Church instead!! Please consider changing to a regular monthly or weekly donation for next year, as the envelopes have become increasingly costly over the last five years and it would be a simpler operation for us if the direct debit option were to be utilised. Tax receipts for the 2021/2022 year will be available in the coming weeks.
Fr. Greg away for next five weeks
I will be leaving for England early Tuesday morning, as I have been asked to give a month-long retreat to our European communities gathered on the Isle of Wight from the 3rd to the 31st July. I thank you in advance for your prayers for my own contributions to the retreat, which I will be giving jointly with another Verbum Dei Missionary, Sr. Anne Healy, fmvd. I look forward to seeing you all in another five weeks' time. In the meantime, Fr. Daniele will be bravely looking after your needs until Fr. Dan and Fr. Steve get back in about 10 days time.
And that's about all for now!
