Hi Everyone!

RGCP Parish Financials 2024-25
This week I wanted to present to you all a bit of a summary report on our Parish Finance Committee (PFC) has prepared of our income and expenditure at RGCP over the 2024-25 financial year. The PFC, by the way, meet to review the financial situation of the Parish on a quarterly basis. I feel it is important to let you know both where our funds come from and how they are 'divvied up' among all our pastoral services and other outgoings.

This is a large and dynamic Parish, and we see an average of well over 1200 people passing through at our Weekend Masses, not to mention all the other thousands at weddings, funerals, and the like, including the five First Holy Communion Masses held a few weeks ago (You can check out the summary statistics on the opposite page). That all needs to be financed with your generous donations (thank you!!), in addition to what we get from other sources.

In summary, in terms of our income at the Parish, about 50% comes from parishioners (ie. 2nd Collection and other donations) and pastoral services (weddings, funerals, etc). The other half is from rentals, 'OOSH' ('Out of School Hours') services at both of our SCB and OLQP schools and other sundry income.

It is also significant that just under 50% of our 'outgoings' at the Parish are invested in maintaining, developing and running our two Church Parish Centres at Ryde and Gladesville. A further 10% was for 'pastoral services', and just under 30% for Administrative support.

Included in capital expenses are the improvements made to both Churches this year, and which have been going on over the last 8 years of our service here at RGCP (our 8th anniversary is on the 12th of December). We have also included information as to where the 1st Collection monies go, to support your priests both here and elsewhere.

I'll leave it now to our Parish Finance Committee to present the financials for 2024-2025 in the report they have prepared, which can be found in this weeks Parish Bulletin (my thanks to the PFC for all your help over the year!).

God bless, and welcome to Advent... Fr. Greg
